As part of its efforts to showcase innovative projects across various fields of environmental engineering, promote the study of environmental science and engineering, and highlight green job opportunities related to this modern scientific discipline, the Environmental Engineers Team of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society participated in the Engineering Specializations Exhibition organized by the Kuwait Society of Engineers. This was confirmed by the team's Vice President and official spokesperson, Engineer Yousef Al-Ramzi. Engineer Al-Ramzi explained that the Environmental Engineers Team's participation in the exhibition included a dedicated booth showcasing the innovations of team members and their graduation projects from prestigious and reputable American universities specializing in environmental science and engineering. These projects represent a modern and contemporary field of study, offering proactive qualifications for entering green job markets, which are considered a cornerstone of sustainable development. He commended the Kuwait Society of Engineers for organizing the exhibition, deeming it timely, especially following the Civil Service Commission's inclusion of the environmental engineer title in its employment plans. He also praised the participation of all engineering-related associations in the exhibition, which aimed to provide a detailed explanation of various engineering specializations for students interested in enrolling in local universities or applying for scholarships and studies abroad. He stated that ”the exhibition’s concept aligns with the efforts and plans of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society to promote and raise awareness among students, especially high school graduates and their parents, about pursuing environmental engineering. This is consistent with the awareness-raising role of the Kuwait Society of Engineers, particularly its Young Engineers Committee.” He noted that “the exhibition saw the participation of engineers from all disciplines, along with representatives from public and private universities and scholarship providers, who offered comprehensive explanations about the nature of studying and working in engineering fields, and the available employment opportunities.” Eng. Yousef Al-Ramzi concluded by mentioning “the large turnout at the Environmental Engineers team’s booth, especially from high school students and their parents who visited the exhibition to learn about their engineering projects and innovations, in addition to the large number of members of the general public who inquired about the nature of studying this modern scientific discipline and its future career prospects.”.
