Wajdan Al-Aqab presents her experience in environmental volunteer work at the \u201cInternational Conference for Arab Leaders and Innovators\u201d<\/p>\n
Wajdan Al-Aqab, President of the Kuwaiti Society for Environmental Protection, participated in the \u201cInternational Conference for Arab Leaders and Innovators\u201d held in the Arab Republic of Egypt from the 22nd to the 24th of this month under the slogan \u201cWomen, Youth and the Arts of Leadership\u201d.<\/p>\n
Wajdan Al-Aqab said that during the first dialogue session she spoke about \u201cthe role of women in development,\u201d where she shared her experience in local leadership through the chairmanship of the board of the Kuwaiti Society for Environmental Protection and her involvement in outstanding environmental volunteer work,\u201d adding that she \u201creviewed the various roles that serve the interests of Kuwaiti society and their close connection to sustainable development, which reflects the extent of the impact of sound environmental management on the economic and social aspects alike.\u201d.<\/p>\n
She explained that she \u201creviewed the progression of responsibilities through the progression of positions held by Kuwaiti and Arab women, such that the Kuwaiti Society for Environmental Protection heads the Gulf Network of Environmental NGOs, which has played a significant role in transferring Gulf experiences among environmental NGOs in the GCC countries, thus strengthening the bonds of Gulf civil environmental cooperation.\u201d.<\/p>\n
Continuing the discussion, the Chairperson of the Board, Wajdan Al-Aqab, presented her experience in \u201cthe personal initiative to promote environmental media in the Arab world through her chairmanship of the General Secretariat for Environment and Sustainable Development in the General Union of Arab Producers, which works through the meetings of Arab Ministers of Information at the League of Arab States, and her unique media role in unifying Arab media ranks to present the Sustainable Development Goals for 2030 in a way that helps raise awareness in society about the importance of achieving these goals.\u201d.<\/p>\n
Al-Aqab stated that \u201cthe conference included several dialogue sessions and tourist trips, which the participants from the Kuwaiti Society for Environmental Protection consider to be ecotourism, where they learned about the different environments on the banks of the Nile River, which included great biodiversity, whether in plant cover or animal diversity,\u201d praising the efforts of the conference management for this good initiative in introducing the different environments in the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
