The Kuwait Environment Protection Society supported the suspension of the camping season for the current year, calling for limiting the camping period in the State of Kuwait for the next 5 years to two months annually, noting that it had previously submitted a proposal to this effect to the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for the Environment. The Society said in its press statement that the necessity requires reducing the pressure on the desert environment during the camping season and limiting the wrong practices on the desert environment.<\/p>\n

Self-recovery
\nShe pointed out that her call to stop camping for the current season and limit it to two months for the next five years would bring the desert and wilderness environment to a good state of natural and self-recovery, in addition to calling for a return to camping today.<\/p>\n

\nThe association stated that its call to halt the camping season also stems from a concern for the safety and security of campers after the recent heavy floods swept away and exposed numerous mines planted by the Iraqi aggression.<\/p>\n
