During the Society\u2019s participation in the Earth Hour event last night, she discussed the advantages of Environmental Protection Law No. 42 of 2014, and how the law encourages civil society organizations to respect the environment and obliges the state with all its institutions to implement the law.<\/p>\n<p>Article 119<br \/>\nBehzad added that &quot;Article (119) is a very important article that obligates state institutions to establish environmental departments within their structures to ensure the monitoring and implementation of environmental laws within their scope of work.&quot; She emphasized the necessity of stopping smoking, as stipulated in the law, which states that &quot;smoking is prohibited in public places and public transportation, and violators are subject to a fine of up to 100 Kuwaiti dinars.&quot; She further stressed the obligation of all entities to take the necessary measures to prevent smoking in enclosed and semi-enclosed spaces.<\/p>\n<p>The facility manager is subject to a fine of up to 5,000, and it is prohibited to publish or spread false information about the environmental situation in the country, and the violator is punished with a fine of up to 50,000 Kuwaiti dinars.<\/p>\n<p>climate change<\/p>\n<p>\u064b<br \/>\nShe pointed out that &quot;the association&#039;s annual celebration of Earth Hour contributes to raising community awareness of the issue of climate change, and this is consistent with one of the most important Sustainable Development Goals, which represents a commitment to addressing some of the most pressing challenges facing<\/p>\n<p>\u064b<br \/>\nThe world today,\u00bb she added, \u00abAll seventeen goals are interconnected, meaning that success in one affects the success of the others.
