The General Assembly of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society held its regular meeting for the year 2021 to consider the items of the Board of Directors\u2019 forty-fifth annual report for the year 2021, the financial statements for the year ending on December 31, 2021, as well as the auditor\u2019s report, the draft budget for the year 2022, the selection of the auditor and the determination of his remuneration, and finally opening the door for proposals and opinions by the members of the General Assembly.<\/p>\n
Wajdan Al-Aqab, Chairperson of the Board of Directors, said, \u201cThe association held its regular annual meeting under her chairmanship, with the attendance of members of the Board of Directors, members of the General Assembly, representatives of the Ministry of Social Affairs, and a representative of the Auditing Office.\u201d.<\/p>\n
Al-Aqab indicated that the assembly witnessed a large turnout of members of the general assembly who were keen, with the rights available to them, to activate their roles, and this was evident through the discussions and inquiries about the items of the assembly\u2019s contract, noting that the meeting was characterized by transparency in presenting the items through the announced numerical vote on each of them separately.<\/p>\n
She reported that the meeting concluded with the approval of the items, noting that the voting process was smooth and seamless through an organizational process provided by the association, praising the keenness of the members of the General Assembly to be present and attend and discuss in a friendly atmosphere that reflects the distinguished national sense that drives towards strengthening the association\u2019s social responsibility and supporting the values of voluntary environmental work.<\/p>\n
She praised the leaders of the Ministry of Social Affairs and the officials of the Department of Civil Societies, who formed a specialized committee from their staff to supervise the management of the General Assembly, and commended the outstanding efforts of the Ministry of Social Affairs representatives in cooperating with the association to bring the General Assembly out in this honorable manner, and praised the members of the committee headed by legal researcher Professor Nawal Al-Rashidi and the membership of legal researcher Professor Badour Bounashi, Professor Abdulhadi Al-Hajri and Professor Hadi Al-Ajmi.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
