The Kuwait Environment Protection Society announced the launch of the book \u201cWomen\u2019s Guide to Climate Action and Shared Responsibility,\u201d as confirmed by Jenan Behzad, Secretary General of the Society and supervisor of the book\u2019s preparation. Behzad stated that \u201cThe Women\u2019s Guide to Climate Action and Shared Responsibility\u201d is the first guide of its kind in the region to comprehensively highlight the role of women in environmental action, combining scientific information, social analyses, and pioneering Arab women\u2019s experiences in climate and sustainable development. She emphasized that \u201dthe guide was prepared with the participation of 11 Arab women writers from Kuwait, Egypt, Bahrain, the UAE, Tunisia, Lebanon, and Iraq. Its five chapters address several key themes, most notably: climate change and its impact on women, environmental and social responsibility, Arab women\u2019s experiences in leading climate change, and finally, a practical guide for implementing sustainability concepts at home.\u201c She explained that \u201dwomen are not only victims of the repercussions of climate change, but also key players in developing solutions and leading transformations towards a sustainable future, stemming from their leading role within the family and from their various positions of social and political influence.\u201c Behzad concluded by saying, \u201dThis book is a result of the recommendations of the workshop organized by the association under the title \u201cWomen Between Climate Change and Sustainable Development,\u201c in cooperation with the National Association for Family Security, Rawasi,\u201d noting that \u201dthe Kuwait Environment Protection Society Through this publication, it seeks to enrich the Kuwaiti and Arab environmental library with knowledge content that reflects climate challenges from a gender perspective, and encourages women to play their role as key partners in protecting the environment.\u201c.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
