Dr. Munaf Behbehani, Chairman of the Wildlife Protection Committee at the Kuwait Environment Protection Society, indicated that his meeting with Ambassador Radius Chivamba, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Environment, Climate and Wildlife of the Republic of Zimbabwe and President of the 15th Conference of the Parties to the Ramsar Convention (Wetlands), resulted in an agreement on the need to advance international and national efforts to conserve wetlands and their ecosystems. Dr. Behbehani, representing the Society at this international forum, noted that the conference was held under the theme \u201cProtecting Wetlands for Our Common Future,\u201d in line with unifying international and regional efforts in this regard. He pointed out that one of the most important decisions resulting from the conference was the acceptance of the Republic of Panama\u2019s invitation to host the 16th Conference in 2028. He also noted that the conference adopted more than forty programs for the next three years, most importantly the Convention\u2019s Action Strategy for the International Protection of Wetlands, in addition to electing the main and subsidiary committees.
