The Kuwaiti Society for Environmental Protection participated in the 48th Kuwait International Book Fair this year with a booth in Hall 7, Booth No. 27, which included quality and awareness publications covering many areas, dimensions and issues of the environment. The booth was managed, supervised and its publications were introduced by members of the Society\u2019s Youth Environmental Team and Friends of the Environment Team. In a press statement today, the association indicated that its pavilion at the 48th Book Fair, under the slogan \u201cCapital of Culture\u2026 Homeland of the Book,\u201c and coinciding with Kuwait\u2019s celebration of being chosen as the Capital of Arab Culture and Media for 2025, showcases its successes in environmental media through its environmental magazine, a print environmental publication, and its series of documentary television programs documenting wildlife in Kuwait, a visual environmental publication recognized by the League of Arab States as the nucleus of Arab environmental media. The association also presented a visual display of television episodes from the nine seasons of its documentary series on wildlife in Kuwait, comprising approximately 250 episodes covering all elements and components of wildlife, along with discussions of various articles of the Environmental Protection Law and the Sustainable Development Goals, in addition to including aspects of Kuwait\u2019s environmental heritage. The association announced that the visual presentation of the series\u201d episodes attracted a large audience eager to learn about its scientific content. It is worth noting that this series is considered a scientific resource supporting the school curriculum, according to the Ministry of Education. Regarding the association\u2019s exhibits of its high-quality environmental publications, she explained that \u201dthe pavilion included a special section for the publications of the Environment Magazine, which began its journey 47 years ago and has issued hundreds of issues, and has received a tangible turnout from the visitors of the exhibition in general and the association\u2019s pavilion in particular. The association also receives annual subscription requests for the exhibition so that it reaches all those who wish to obtain it.\u201c The association noted in its statement that \u201dthe exhibits included publications on climate and beaches, and the field guide to the birds of Kuwait, which is considered the jewel of specialized publications in the State of Kuwait concerned with resident and endemic birds, in addition to educational publications for young children, publications of environmental drawings of birds, fish and plants, and interactive publications in the form of strategic games for waste management. Also, the multi-use bags of biodiversity in the Kuwaiti environment, made of recycled fabric, convey an image of environmental awareness of the beauty of the Kuwaiti environment, as they attracted the attention of visitors to acquire a symbolic bag of the flamingo, the eagle owl, the fox and the sea turtle.
