Engineer Yousef Al-Ramzi, the official spokesperson and Vice President of the Environmental Engineers Team at the Kuwaiti Society for Environmental Protection, participated in a scientific awareness workshop entitled "A Journey into the Depths of Kuwait's Marine Environment \u2013 Diversity, Sustainability, and Protection." The workshop was organized by the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences (KFAS) with the participation of a select group of researchers from the Environment and Life Sciences Research Center at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). Engineer Al-Ramzi explained that "the workshop included the screening of a documentary highlighting the Sulaibikhat Marine Reserve and its role in protecting marine biodiversity in Kuwait. A scientific paper entitled 'The Sulaibikhat Marine Reserve in Kuwait: Achievements and Future Plans' was also presented by Dr. Turki Al-Saeed, Director of the Marine and Coastal Management Program. Dr. Manal Al-Kandari delivered a lecture entitled 'Biodiversity of Marine Organisms in Intertidal Zones and its Role in Environmental Sustainability,' while Dr. Abrar Akbar focused her lecture on the importance of mangrove trees on the Kuwaiti coast and their vital environmental role."
