The association launches the annual training program for the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Specialized Environmental Training

“In conjunction with the nights of Ramadan, and within the framework of the Kuwaiti Society for Environmental Protection’s ongoing role in disseminating sound environmental awareness and building national and Arab capacities through specialized training programs based on practical application and linking scientific knowledge to environmental realities,” Janan Behzad, Secretary-General and Director of Programs and Activities at the Society, announced the launch of the new season of the training program at the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Specialized Environmental Training for the year 2026. Janan Behzad stated that “the training program for the year 2026 aligns with the priorities of contemporary environmental issues, as it includes a range of courses and workshops addressing vital topics, most notably achieving the Sustainable Development Goals in the environment, managing coastal and protected areas, drinking water quality, environmental protection laws and their impact on social responsibility, in addition to managing natural and environmental crises and disasters.” She explained that “the program, in its new season, focuses on keeping pace with modern developments in environmental work by including advanced modules covering artificial intelligence applications in environmental and administrative fields, environmental visual media and wildlife documentation, in addition to green economics and purchasing, and regional challenges related to climate change and its impacts on societies.” She noted that “the training sessions included in the program will be delivered using flexible training methods, combining in-person attendance and remote training, under the supervision of a select group of experts and certified trainers from Kuwait and other Arab countries, and in cooperation with educational, scientific, and academic institutions, as well as local, regional, and international environmental organizations, thus ensuring the quality of the training outcomes.” Behzad explained, “Over the past years, the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Specialized Environmental Training, affiliated with the Kuwaiti Society for Environmental Protection, has been able to establish itself as one of the most prominent environmental training platforms in the State of Kuwait and the region, through the implementation of quality programs and courses that have contributed to raising the efficiency of environmental personnel and enhancing the practical understanding of environmental issues.” She added, “The center has also succeeded in building effective partnerships with Kuwaiti government agencies, academic scientific institutions, and regional and international organizations, which has positively impacted the quality of training content and its connection to environmental decision-making and institutional work.”.
