The Kuwait Environment Protection Society announced that Minister Plenipotentiary Dr. Mahmoud Fathallah, Director of the Department of Environmental and Meteorological Affairs and Head of the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for Environmental Affairs at the League of Arab States, has joined the group of writers of the specialized environmental magazine, which has been published monthly for about 45 years, stressing that the magazine attracts many scientists, experts and writers to contribute to the magazine to enrich the Kuwaiti and Arab environmental and scientific library.
Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab, President of the Association and Editor-in-Chief of the magazine, stated that her meeting with Minister Plenipotentiary Dr. Mahmoud Fathallah at his office at the university resulted in his praise for the Environment Magazine’s path and its awareness-raising role on the Arab scale in spreading correct environmental knowledge and culture through its handling of various modern environmental issues, in addition to the scientific and practical solutions presented by its constellation of writers towards those environmental issues and disasters that the Arab world faces as a society or on a national Qatari scale.
During the meeting, Dr. Mahmoud Fathallah pledged to arrange for the participation of the Department of Environment and Meteorology at the League of Arab States in a monthly publication, aiming to provide a window into the Arab world's environmental landscape for Arab stakeholders, specialists, researchers, youth, and the general public. It is worth noting that Dr. Mahmoud Fathallah, Minister Plenipotentiary, serves as Director of the Department of Environment and Meteorology and Head of the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for Environmental Affairs at the League of Arab States.
He holds a PhD in Economics from Cairo University and is an active member of several economic associations. He possesses extensive academic and practical experience in economic policy, having worked with numerous local and regional institutions, including the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade in Egypt, the United Arab Emirates University in the UAE, the United Arab Emirates Development Programme, and USAID projects.
He is also a visiting assistant professor of economics at the Faculty of Economics and Political Science at Cairo University and has a number of publications. He is a co-editor of the Joint Arab Economic Report.
