Minister Plenipotentiary Dr. Mahmoud Fathallah, Director of the Department of Environmental and Meteorological Affairs and Head of the Technical Secretariat of the Council of Arab Ministers Responsible for Environmental Affairs at the League of Arab States, commended the team of environmental engineers from the Kuwaiti Society for Environmental Protection. He praised the first Kuwaiti Environmental Engineers Forum and Exhibition, held under the patronage of His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Oil, Tariq Suleiman Al-Roumi. This came during a meeting between the Minister Plenipotentiary and the team's Vice President and official spokesperson, Engineer Yousef Abdul-Redha Al-Ramzi, at the League of Arab States headquarters in Cairo. He added that the first Kuwaiti Environmental Engineers Forum and Exhibition is a true embodiment of the wise leadership's interest in supporting national talent in various fields, especially environmental specializations, and serves as a great incentive for environmental engineers in Kuwait to strive for further excellence and innovation in various environmental work areas. He noted that the forum highlighted the importance of specialized national talent in environmental engineering and their contributions to sustainable development by providing a platform to showcase their innovations in an annual exhibition. Environmental engineers presented their projects to the public, sector leaders, and prominent government figures to enhance recognition of environmental engineers within the private and public sectors in Kuwait and to highlight their vital role in driving sustainability. Engineer Yousef Abdulredha Al-Ramzi, Vice President and official spokesperson of the team, pointed to the official launch of the Environmental Engineers Platform during the forum, which provided a space for these talented professionals to demonstrate their capabilities, in addition to presenting their creative projects and graduation projects to leaders of various sectors, elites, and government figures, and to highlight the depth of expertise possessed by environmental engineers by focusing on the diversity of these projects across numerous fields. He stated that the forum aimed to improve the labor market's perception of the potential of these engineers. Therefore, we are committed to making a real difference by helping environmental engineers gain recognition for their wide range of skills, opening up more job opportunities, and encouraging the widespread adoption of sustainable practices in both the public and private sectors. We hope to see more career paths and policy developments that incorporate the national role played by Kuwaiti environmental engineers. During his meeting with Minister Plenipotentiary Dr. Mahmoud Fathallah, he reviewed the initiative to establish the team, the first of its kind in the Arab world, discussing its objectives, activities, achievements, and aspirations. The team includes among its members the first graduates of environmental engineering from Kuwait. He also discussed the achievements of the environmental engineers' team, recalling the launch of its activities during the association's celebration of the International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict – November 6 – in addition to the team's contributions and presentations during the campaign, and commending its innovative projects in this regard.
