Event “Introducing the International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict – November 6” at the Climate Summit
The Kuwait Environment Protection Society organized a seminar to raise awareness about November 6, the “International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflicts,” at the COP27 Climate Summit, which coincides with its convening. The seminar was hosted by the official State of Kuwait pavilion at the summit held in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. The Society indicated that the attendees responded positively to the visual presentation presented by the Society.

The association participates in the “Academic Model United Nations” program”
Engineer Yousef Abdulredha Al-Ramzi, a member of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society, participated in the “Academic Model United Nations” program organized by the United Nations in the State of Kuwait with schools and academics, including the Kuwaiti English School, and in the presence of representatives from the Society as chairpersons of the Academic Model United Nations sessions, where “climate change - its causes - and solutions and the ambition of youth to lead climate action” were discussed.
Environmental cooperation between the association and the United Nations in Kuwait“
Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab, President of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society, confirmed that the most prominent aspects of cooperation between the Society and the United Nations in Kuwait include discussions on preparations for the COP27 Climate Summit scheduled to be held in Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt, in November, in addition to numerous activities and events related to the environment and sustainable development, particularly those involving youth and students, through the Society.

The Kuwait Environment Protection Society participated in the fifth session of the United Nations Environment Assembly (UNEA), held virtually in Nairobi, Kenya. Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab, President of the Society, stated that the meeting offered a forward-looking perspective on the resumption of the UNEA Assembly in 2022 and conveyed a message from the fifth session held virtually.
