The society: Regional interest in the National Committee for Civil Society Organizations to Reduce Disaster Risks
“The Kuwait Environment Protection Society, which chairs the National Committee for Disaster Risk Reduction, distinguished itself by establishing the National Committee for Civil Society Organizations for Disaster Risk Reduction in the State of Kuwait. It also developed a constitution that defines strategic objectives according to the Sendai Framework, as well as the competencies, tasks, responsibilities, and main goals to strengthen the roles of its members. The Kuwaiti experience has been commended by the Regional Advisory Committee in West Africa.
The society: Renewing its commitment to social justice through concrete actions for the sustainable development process, in response to the launch of the “Second World Summit for Social Development Doha 2025“, in the Qatari capital, Doha, at the ”Qatar National Convention Centre”.”
