Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Anwar Al-Barjas, received in his office Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab, President of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society, in order to enhance cooperation and environmental partnership between the Ministry of Interior and the Society, and to promote the success of efforts to produce a series of documentary programs to document wildlife in the State of Kuwait, in which the Ministry enters as an original partner of the Society in protecting the environment, within the framework of activating the cooperation protocol between the Ministry and the Society.
Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab, head of the Environmental Protection Society, explained that she met with the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Lieutenant General Anwar Abdul Latif Al-Barjas, praising his directives to the relevant sectors in the Ministry to provide all forms of logistical support to the Society’s team tasked with completing the eighth season of its television series of episodes to monitor and document wildlife in Kuwait, which is scheduled to be shown during the Ramadan programming cycle.
During the meeting, Dr. Al-Aqab congratulated Lieutenant General Al-Barjas on assuming the duties of Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior and gaining the confidence of the political leadership, praising his sound directives to those in charge of the departments and sectors concerned with continuing the distinguished cooperation with the association and commending their good efforts in advancing this path in a way that benefits Kuwait through participation in environmental and awareness-related projects. In a kind gesture, Al-Aqab presented Lieutenant General Anwar Al-Barjas with the shield of the eighth season of the series for this year through the Every Day a Plant 2 program in appreciation of the Ministry of Interior’s active participation in them.
She indicated that the Ministry of Interior is one of the most prominent environmental partners of the association, stressing that the departments and sectors of the ministry, represented by the «Committee for Follow-up on Security Decisions, the Traffic and Operations Sector, the Public Security Sector, the Land Borders Sector, the Public Relations and Security Media Department, and the Environmental Police,» each in its security field, present good images that reflect their national sense through their great logistical support, which is in line with the directives of Lieutenant General Anwar Al-Barjas to provide security approvals for issuing entry and photography permits within the border areas rich in wildlife components, in addition to providing protection and accompaniment for the work team, as well as various aspects of cooperation and first logistical support for the work team.
