A survey study on the Society's "Wildlife Documentary Series" with the participation of Kuwaiti and international governmental bodies, civil organizations, experts and academics.

Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab, President of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society, revealed the results of a public survey conducted by the Society regarding the series of documentary programs on wildlife in the State of Kuwait. She stated, “The study included several questions, and the results of analyzing the answers supported Kuwait TV’s decision to premiere the series during Ramadan.” She further explained that 921,000 viewers believe these programs are suitable for Ramadan programming. She added, ”In a statistical analysis of this percentage, 541,000 viewers agreed that these programs are appropriate for Ramadan because they showcase the beauty of the Kuwaiti environment, while 321,000 viewers believe these programs reflect the natural heritage of the State of Kuwait.“.

Dr. Al-Aqab confirmed that “this result is consistent with the public opinion poll conducted by Kuwait TV for the best cultural program shown on Kuwait TV during the Ramadan season in 2018, and the program “Every Day a Fish” in the fourth season of the series won first place with a percentage of 64%.”.

“The association expressed its deepest gratitude to its partners in environmental protection, including government agencies, civil society organizations, and prominent figures in corporate social responsibility, as well as the experts and historians who have all participated in the series' programs over the past nine consecutive years. It noted that its partners in environmental protection include dozens of Kuwaiti, Arab, and international government agencies and civil society organizations, along with scores of experts, academics, and technicians from the association's working groups and committees. The association added, "We were keen to highlight the roles of the participating and supporting entities in environmental protection, each according to their specialization, by expressing our thanks and appreciation for their efforts, which facilitated the work and provided valuable information during the guest meetings.".

Dr. Al-Aqab mentioned the government agencies: “The Amiri Diwan, the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, the Ministry of Interior represented by the Traffic and Operations Affairs Sector, the Security Decisions Follow-up Committee, the Public Security Sector, the Environmental Police Department, the Border Security Affairs Sector, the General Directorate of Land Border Security, the General Directorate of Maritime Border Security, the Coast Guard, and the General Directorate of Environmental Relations and Media,“ the National Guard, and the General Fire Force, the Fire and Marine Rescue Department.

In addition to the Ministry of Education's Scientific and Educational Museum, the Ministry of Health's Islamic Medicine Center, Kuwait Municipality and Kuwait Television, the Environment Public Authority's Environmental Monitoring Information System, the Public Authority for Agriculture and Fisheries Resources, Kuwait Oil Company's Al-Abdaliyah Reserve and Sheikh Ahmed Al-Jaber Oil and Gas Exhibition in Ahmadi, the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, Kuwait University's College of Science and Marine Science Center, the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training's College of Basic Education, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, the Central Statistical Bureau, the Volunteer Work Center, the Cultural Centers Administration and Al-Shaheed Park, the Sheikh Abdullah Al-Salem Cultural Center, the Scientific Center, and the National Council for Culture, Arts and Letters, special thanks and appreciation were extended to the Kuwait Foundation for the Advancement of Sciences and the Environment Protection Fund for their support of science, culture, and awareness for more than one season of the series.

She praised the civil organizations that participated in providing logistical support for the program, including Al-Sour Fuel Marketing Company, the East Fish Market, Al-Suqour Hospital, and Al-Dahma Veterinary Hospital, in addition to the international partners, including the Arab Network for Environment and Development “Raed”, the Gulf Network of Civil Environmental Associations, the General Secretariat for Environment and Sustainable Development of the General Union of Arab Producers, BirdLife International, the International Union for Conservation of Nature, and the Wildlife Society in Palestine, in addition to the stars of social responsibility from experts, individuals, institutions, and private companies, as well as praising the program’s team who were dedicated to completing the series in all weather conditions, out of their keenness to ensure that the episodes appeared in a distinctive way that enriches the visual environmental library in Kuwait.
