The head of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society affirmed the continuation of its effective environmental cooperation with the US Embassy in the country through numerous activities organized by the Society, as well as its participation in the awareness campaign launched by the Embassy's environmental team on social media platforms regarding environmental issues. This statement was made by Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab, the Society's president.
In this regard, Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab explained that the association participated with the US Embassy in Kuwait in its awareness activity via social media, on the occasion of the International Day of Fisheries, by rebroadcasting and translating episodes of the “Every Day a Fish” program, which is the fourth season of the documentary series to document wildlife in Kuwait. She mentioned that the association presented the “Every Day a Fish” episodes that it produced, which celebrate the famous Nuwaibi fish as a Kuwaiti marine treasure and highlight the association’s efforts in preserving Kuwait’s marine world.
Dr. Al-Aqab noted that “this environmental cooperation with the US Embassy reflects a long history of joint work with the association, spanning many years, which reinforces the social responsibility aspect of protecting the environment on an international level.” She also noted that “the association has previously participated with the US Embassy’s environmental team in its activities that include environmental messages via social media, including the International Day for Combating Dust Storms,“ pointing out that the team used the series of documentary programs on wildlife in Kuwait, which the association produces and completes over 9 consecutive seasons, considering them among their most important and prominent environmental awareness references.
