Representing His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Oil Minister Tariq Sulaiman Al-Roumi inaugurated the first Kuwaiti Environmental Engineers Forum and Exhibition, organized by the Kuwait Environment Protection Society from the 5th to the 6th of this month. Minister Al-Roumi emphasized that the forum and exhibition is a pioneering step reflecting Kuwait's commitment to environmental science.

The Kuwait Environment Protection Society stressed “the importance of strengthening and supporting areas of work in protecting and preserving natural resources from the components of biodiversity, which are in dire need of interventions, efforts and contributions, as the environment and nature are a human right for all, whether for the current generation or future generations, and that is a trust on everyone’s shoulders,” calling for “working together to preserve those natural resources represented in biodiversity.”.

As part of its participation in the “Urban and Rural Development” week at Expo 2020 Dubai, the Kuwait Environment Protection Society continued its awareness plan with a campaign to raise awareness of the International Day for Preventing the Use of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict, through extending the campaign in a location that provides communication with other countries and the possibility of reaching awareness to countries around the world by taking advantage of the international gathering provided by Expo Dubai 2020.
