Yousef Al-Kous, a member of the board of directors of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society, affirmed that the society's plans and programs are consistent with and focus on implementing safety and security standards, noting that adherence to these standards is mandatory and obligatory for team members.
The association’s specialized committees are keen to ensure the safety of the participants and providers of these programs and to protect and improve habitats and environmental sites in the State of Kuwait.
Conference and Exhibition
Al-Kous, on the sidelines of the Environment Society's participation in the 3rd Kuwait International Conference and Exhibition on Health, Safety, Security and Environment, organized by the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation in cooperation with the Kuwait Oil Company and lasting for three days, pointed out the Society's keenness, participating for the third year in a row, to support community participation by institutions, government agencies and civil organizations that would promote and spread cultures and behavioral patterns that obligate everyone to adhere to safety and security standards.
Health and the environment, noting that the agenda of scientific lectures and executive workshops for the association’s programs and activities calls for and pushes towards highlighting the importance of these standards as a guarantee for the safety and security of all.
Specialized publications
The treasurer of the Environmental Society explained that the Society's specialized publications exhibition regularly participates in events that promote security and safety, in addition to providing scientific lectures for the Society's elite and volunteer staff, stemming from the Society's efforts to activate the concepts of "environmental citizenship and every citizen a guardian." He noted that achieving this aligns with the Society's vision that these concepts are community-based environmental projects in themselves, and it strives to achieve the highest efficiency in performance standards.

Student activities
He stated that the student programs and events offered by the association annually and seasonally, which address issues of clean and new energy, climate change, global warming, and field awareness activities, encompass various aspects of security and safety. He commended the environmental relationships and partnerships that unite the Environment Society with relevant governmental and non-governmental bodies specializing in and achieving these standards. He also praised the association's partners in the oil sector and its various companies, such as the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation and Kuwait Oil Company, as well as the Ministry of Interior, represented by the General Fire Department, the Environmental Police, Public Security, and Environmental Media, in addition to the Environment Public Authority, the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, and other entities.
