The association receives a delegation from the Kuwaiti Scouts Association

Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab, President of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society, confirmed that a coordination meeting was held between her and a delegation from the Kuwaiti Scouts Association to discuss future cooperation between the two societies in preparation for formulating executive frameworks and a package of mutual programs and activities.

Dr. Al-Aqab, in the presence of environmental engineer and editor of the Environment Magazine, Sarah Al-Ramzi, received the Scout delegation, which included the head of the Community Service and Development and Environment Committee of the Scout Association, Saad Muhammad Al-Ajmi, and the deputy head of the committee, Muhammad Salah Al-Dihan, who honored her with the Scout Shield as a starting point for upcoming environmental and scouting activities. She explained that the meeting discussed initiating a memorandum of cooperation between the Environment and Scout Associations as a comprehensive framework.

She explained that the meeting's topics included utilizing the capabilities of the Environment Society in preparing training program projects dedicated to scouting divisions, including for primary and intermediate school students (cubs and scouts), such as sorting waste, drawing, and recycling. In addition, training programs were prepared for secondary school students (advanced), such as cleaning some environmental sites in various governorates, including beaches, parks, and terrestrial habitats. Furthermore, the Environment Society provided training courses to prepare environmental trainers from (scouts/leaders) covering issues of climate change, global warming, and marine and terrestrial environments.

Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab stated that the meeting with the Scout Association delegation addressed (Scout Environmental Badges) based on the participation of the Environmental Protection Association in preparing special activities to activate those badges, which will review many environmental issues and lessons.
