The Kuwait Environment Protection Society granted its honorary membership to Major General Yousef Hamdan Al-Khadah, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Traffic and Operations Affairs and Chairman of the Committee for Monitoring Security Decisions.
The head of the association, Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab, confirmed that the environmental partnership with the Ministry of Interior reflects the continuity of joint program cooperation between them, within the framework of activating the cooperation protocol between the association and the Ministry of Interior.
Dr. Al-Aqab explained in a press statement that she met with Major General Yousef Hamdan Al-Khadah, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Traffic and Operations Affairs and Chairman of the Committee for Monitoring Security Decisions. The meeting addressed the memorandum of understanding between the association and the ministry, and reviewed the activities and successes achieved over the years as a result of the committee’s interest and cooperation with the association to achieve its goals, and the participation in supporting the association’s efforts in producing environmental awareness media from the leaders of the Ministry of Interior, who have never hesitated to support the rules of environmental partnership with the association on the ground.
She stated that she discussed with Major General Yousef Al-Khadah areas of cooperation between the association and several sectors of the Ministry of Interior that intersect with the association’s goals in more than one area, including community awareness, adding: “His Excellency the Undersecretary expressed his cooperation in continuing to facilitate the tasks of the association’s teams and committees in the sites and facilities covered by the Security Committee for following up on Cabinet decisions. The cooperation will be logistical, scientific, technical and awareness-raising in various environmental fields, through participation in environmentally related projects, with the aim of implementing a mechanism for exchanging knowledge and enhancing the scientific, practical and technical capabilities of both parties in the areas of cooperation covered by this protocol and in accordance with the regulations and work laws followed by the Ministry.».
