Dr. Munaf Behbehani, Chairman of the Wildlife Protection Committee of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society, expressed to Ms. Evelyn Nolofo, Minister of Environment, Climate and Wildlife of the Republic of Zimbabwe, on the sidelines of his participation in the fifteenth Conference of the Parties to the Ramsar Convention (Wetlands), the thanks and appreciation of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society for the warm official reception represented by His Excellency the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Emmerson Mnangagwa, who officially opened the conference, as well as for the good arrangements, services and capabilities provided by the State to make the conference a success.
The Minister of Environment, Climate, and Wildlife of the Republic of Zimbabwe expressed her gratitude for the Environment Society's participation in the conference and her pleasure at meeting the Society's representative, wishing the Society continued success and progress. Dr. Munaf Behbehani, the Society's representative at the conference, noted that the most important decision of the conference was the approval of the Strategic Plan for the Convention 2025-2034, which aims to increase the number of wetlands registered under the Ramsar Convention, work to protect protected environments from destruction and loss, and build and develop human capacities and research capabilities while providing the necessary financial resources.
