Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab, President of the National Committee of the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) in Kuwait and President of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society, praised the efforts of the Kuwaiti Ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Hamad Rashid Al-Marri, in providing logistical support to the Society’s delegation during the working meetings it attended in the capital, Amman, including a meeting with His Excellency the Jordanian Minister of Environment, Dr. Muawiya Al-Radaideh, as well as a meeting with Dr. Razan Mubarak, President of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, and Dr. Hani Al-Shaer, the Union’s Regional Director for West Asia, with the aim of discussing the importance of marketing and highlighting the work and achievements of the Union’s members, especially in the West Asia region.
Dr. Al-Aqab praised the logistical support of His Excellency Ambassador Hamad Rashid Al-Marri for the meeting of the association’s delegation with the Jordanian Ambulance Association, headed by Dr. Yanal Al-Ajlouni, expressing her appreciation for the vital role played by His Excellency the Ambassador in promoting community environmental work, represented by the Kuwait Environment Protection Society delegation, noting the coordination and integration between the embassy and the association’s delegation, which was reflected in the smoothness and facilitation of the delegation’s multiple meetings during its visit to the sisterly Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
She pointed out the extension and diversity of the meetings, including a meeting with the head of the Jordanian Friends of Heritage Association, Engineer Tariq Bani Yassin, to prepare and discuss areas of joint work, including the memorandum of understanding between the two associations, which extends for the next three years, as well as the directive of His Excellency the Ambassador to allocate a car for the Kuwait Environment Protection Society delegation during its stay in the capital, Amman, to attend related meetings or to conduct environmental work visits.
