The association wins the “Kuwait Award for Creativity in Social Responsibility”

Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab, President of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society, dedicated the “Kuwait Award for Creativity in Social Responsibility,” which the Society won in its 11th edition organized by the Arab Media Forum of the League of Arab States, to His Highness the Emir of the country, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, may God protect him, and to His Highness the Deputy Emir, Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, may God protect him, and to the leaders who facilitated the difficulties for the work team throughout the years until the Society received the award.

Dr. Al-Aqab confirmed that she received the award during the grand ceremony held under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Information and Culture, Abdulrahman Al-Mutairi, and in the presence of prominent and distinguished Kuwaiti and Arab figures in many creative fields, to distribute and receive the Creativity Awards.

She explained that the winning of the “Wildlife Documentary Series in the State of Kuwait” with the Kuwait Award for Creativity in Social Responsibility in its 11th season is entirely consistent with the outputs of the series, in which the work team worked hard to be creative in showing the Kuwaiti environment in the best possible way. The series is produced by the association annually and for nine consecutive seasons during which it presented 250 television episodes that review all aspects of the environment in the State of Kuwait.

The head of the Environmental Protection Association, which is the founder and general supervisor of the series, praised the Secretary-General of the Arab Media Forum, the esteemed media figure Mr. Madi Al-Khamis, and the media colleagues for the award for transparency in granting the award to the series and for considering it the first documentary series of its kind in Kuwait, the Gulf and the Arab world.

She added that the series aims to “highlight the positives and aesthetics of the Kuwaiti environment, regions, sites, habitats and nature reserves in the State of Kuwait, facilitate access to environmental sciences for different segments of society, enhance citizens” trust in regulatory and executive bodies, and spread awareness of the Environmental Protection Law.”.

Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab praised the efforts of the national cadres and elites who are members of the work teams in all nine seasons of the series, as well as the distinguished participation of the constellation of scientific, environmental, heritage and Kuwaiti historians who all enriched the episodes of the series with their knowledge and experiences. She also praised the association’s partners in protecting the environment from government agencies, civil organizations and stars of social responsibility for their brilliance in participation and logistical contribution to the nine seasons, as these efforts have garnered no less than 18 local, Gulf and Arab awards and honors over the years in numerous festivals.
