The National Association for Family Security – Rawasi affirmed that social responsibility is the basis for launching joint activities between the association and the Kuwaiti Society for Environmental Protection within the framework of organizing or participating in its activities that include environmental awareness activities concerned with and directed to the family in general and women in particular, praising the association for including the family dimension in its community activities,” this was announced by Aisha Al-Yoha, Chairperson of the Board of Directors of “Rawasi”.
Aisha Al-Yoha noted that the association is keen to participate in the expert workshops organized by the Sabah Al-Ahmad Center for Specialized Environmental Training, affiliated with the Environment Protection Society, in its sessions aimed at women and housewives in the areas of environmental participation, interest in climate change issues, guidance and advice towards sustainable consumption, green purchasing, and other topics related to the expert workshops at the center.
In the same context, Engineer Maali Al-Aqab, Public Relations Officer at the Environment Society, stated that “The National Association for Family Security, a public benefit association that aims to protect family security in society, is keen to participate in the family events of the Environment Society, including participation in the “Sea Turtles” event, to promote environmental awareness and the role of the family in preserving the environment. This participation comes within the Association’s efforts to support the family socially, and to highlight its pivotal role in the development of society.”.
Ms. Al-Aqab pointed out that “the cooperation between the two associations constitutes a strategic step towards achieving common goals, as the two associations seek to promote the concept of social responsibility and enshrine environmental awareness as a fundamental value in building a sustainable society,” noting that “the continuation of this cooperation will include organizing more joint events and initiatives targeting all segments of society, which contributes to achieving a comprehensive development vision based on effective partnership between community institutions.”.
