The Environmental Engineers Team of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society attended the Student Talents and Innovation Forum and Exhibition, held under the theme “Challenge – Innovation – Sustainability,” under the patronage of Kuwait University Director Dr. Dina Musaed Al-Maim and organized by the Deanship of Student Affairs. The event took place at the College of Arts in Sabah Al-Salem University City. The team was represented by Engineer Yousef Al-Ramzi, the official spokesperson and vice president of the team, and Engineer Alia Al-Amir, a team member. In a press statement on the sidelines of the event, Engineer Yousef Al-Ramzi emphasized “the importance of such forums for students to hone their skills, in line with the university’s support for Kuwait Vision 2035 and the promotion of sustainable development goals by discovering, nurturing, and investing in students” creative talents and their entrepreneurial projects and ideas across various scientific, literary, social, and artistic fields.“ He pointed out that ”the main general objectives of the Environmental Engineers Team include showcasing the team’s efforts and presenting its members“ projects at internal and external scientific events and gatherings to highlight their innovations and pioneering national projects, fostering a spirit of positive competition among them, and cultivating a culture of creativity, sustainability, and entrepreneurship. The team strives to contribute to building a generation of conscious individuals capable of addressing societal challenges and providing innovative solutions that contribute to driving the national economy.” In a similar statement, Engineer Alia Al-Amir noted “the active and positive participation of students in the forum’s program, which included several sections and activities, most notably an exhibition showcasing student talents and innovations, and specialized training workshops to develop students” skills.” Engineer Alia Al-Amir indicated that “while the forum primarily targeted Kuwait University students, along with the participation of academics, researchers, and supporting entities from various governmental and private sectors, it also served as a public event to learn about students’ capabilities, making it a comprehensive platform for communication and the exchange of experiences between students and specialists. The forum witnessed significant interaction from visitors with the projects presented by the students.”.
