In turn, Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Ali, Vice President of the Network and President of the Friends of the Environment Society in Abu Dhabi, confirmed in a press statement the preparations for receiving the participating delegations upon their arrival, adding: “Work has been done to obtain the necessary permits for the exhibition and Masdar City, and to prepare the forum’s program, which will include an intensive program of lectures, workshops, and discussion sessions. The President of the Environmental Protection Association and President of the Gulf Network of Environmental Associations explained that “the Second Gulf Youth Environmental Forum aims to understand the limits of the ambition of the future generation by reading their future vision towards a better environment as they aspire it to be, in addition to encouraging young people to present environmental initiatives and proposals so that they have a mark on the environmental roadmap in the GCC countries, and urging them to understand the common environmental heritage among the GCC countries and the common environmental risks, and to promote the value of the principle of cooperation among the people of the Arab Gulf countries.”.
She added, “The forum also seeks to introduce them to the agenda of the seventeen Sustainable Development Goals, to express their future needs, and to guide them towards the correct way to record positions and demands that contribute to achieving a better future.”.
