Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab, President of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society and Head of the Supreme Organizing Committee of the First Kuwaiti Environmental Engineers Forum and Exhibition, presented the Minister of Oil, Tariq Suleiman Al-Roumi, with the Environmental Excellence Medal in recognition and appreciation of His Excellency’s keenness to support the team and the young people working in environmental work in the Society.
This came during the Minister of Oil’s reception at his office of the President of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society, Dr. Wajdan Al-Aqab, accompanied by a delegation of the Kuwaiti Environmental Engineers Team affiliated with the Society, headed by Environmental Engineer Sarah Abdul-Redha Al-Ramzi, founder and president of the team, Vice President Eng. Yousef Al-Ramzi, and team members, Engineers Hussein Al-Amir, Hamad Al-Azmi, and Alia Ali. .
Dr. Al-Aqab emphasized that “the official visit came to express thanks and gratitude for the fatherly support that the Minister gave to the team during the first Kuwaiti Engineers Forum and Exhibition, which was officially sponsored by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmed Abdullah Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah, and the Minister of Oil attended the opening ceremony of the forum and exhibition representing His Highness,” considering that “this, if it indicates anything, indicates the interest of the wise leadership in the youth and future national cadres.”.
She stated that “the Minister of Oil, out of his keenness to continue the brilliance and excellence of young graduates in the field of environmental engineering and members of the environmental engineering team, gave them practical and professional guidance and advice that served as a roadmap to increase their skills and capabilities in line with and to meet the needs and aspirations of the future of the environmental engineering dimension in the country, which intersects with all areas of sustainable development in accordance with Kuwait Vision 2035.”.
